The Spirit's Love was founded on May 12, 2002 which was Ascension Day, Mother's Day, and the feast of St. Pancras all rolled into one. It was also an important date because it was the occasion for the 36th World Communications Day. On this day the Holy Father picked as the theme: "Internet: A New Forum for Proclaiming the Gospel".

After opening this Yahoogroup, a week later, on May 19, 2002, Pentecost Sunday, we opened the list to the public and started promoting it to our friends personally and online. As soon as we obtained members, we started our ministry - which is a ministry of prayer and mission. Our prayer life revolves not only within the community but also in relation to the sick who are referred to us for prayers. Besides the sick, we also offer in prayer those who are suffering in different types of situations. We impart much hope to them as we witness our faith in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our posts also include a wide array of materials: prayers, quotations from Scripture and from various saints, inspirational poems and stories, and an occasional faith-sharing from our members.

Since our prayer is meant not only within our circle but outwards also to encompass others in love, we share to the group the various issues and concerns of different countries in relation to natural disasters, or moral degeneration, or as regards any conflict or warlike activity. Though we are international, English is our common medium of communication.

We invite you therefore to experience God's love in our community through prayer and sharing. By being with us, you can also be a "missionary of The Spirit's Love" by bestowing God's love to all you 'meet' on the Internet. Below is the subscription box of our list. Come and Join us now!
