Sources and articles from noted theologians and writers
Listed down in this page are sources
and articles from noted contemporary
theologians and spiritual writers. Their
writing can be good material for writing
Catholic articles that can help inform
about contemporary Catholic theology.
The majority of the sources and
articles contain content that are written
in the context of Vatican II and post-Vatican
II teaching and spirituality.
This first list of articles are all
ecclesiological in nature. This means that
authors write as regards the theology of the
Church - her nature and her mission. Although
some of the writers' points may be critical
of the Church in her classic teachings as
an institution, it would be good to see
the viewpoints for study purposes of those
who would want to learn the viewpoints of
theologians wanting to reform the Church
according to modern structures that provide
more room for dialogue - especially in the
administration and governance of the Church's present system.

Other articles also of a theological
nature - ranging from moral theology, ministry,
Christology and Scripture:
This second list of articles and sources are
divided into theology and spirituality. The
articles and sources that are listed here
are also good sources for writing Catholic
articles that will be good for study purposes
- especially those who would want to use it
for learning new concepts and ideas
presented by the authors of the articles.

Other writings of a spiritual
nature:
We must consider all the articles in
this page from the context where in the
historical tradition of our faith, theology and
spirituality became two different distinctive
disciplines. Whereas before they were
integrated, they evolved in history into
separate fields of study - with each one
having its own field of understanding.
It is because of this that spirituality articles
are written in the context of the love of Christ and His
Church, while the theological articles would
a better understanding of the faith and
explore deeper truths so as to enter into a direction
that sometimes criticizes the Church of her present
system of administration. If ever
you may be confused between these two
divergent directions of spirituality and
theology, the
safest and wisest step is to be objective
and then root oneself in the classic truths that has
been a long time in the tradition of our
faith.
