Business Book Review

This is a business book review on The
Power of Positive Thinking in Business,
authored by Scott W. Ventrella and based
on Norman Vincent Peale's classic bestseller,
in cooperation with the Peale Center.

Many of us in business, whether it be on
the level of a small business enterprise
or on the level of big corporate business,
are sometimes caught in the doldrums and
the depressing scenario of the financial
scene. This book will change this attitude
of ours during these times and create in us
a renewed sense of positivity - one that
will revitalize not only our energies as
entrepreneurs but bring the spirit of the
vision and mission of our enterprise with
the fire of a positive future and a renewed
look at the horizons we have set our sights
upon.

A brief introduction
This book trains us to be positive thinkers in business.
Norman Vincent Peale's books teaches us to be positive
thinkers in life in general. It is with his principles
in mind that this book was specifically written to have
a more specific focus for our positive thinking: business.
Ten traits of a positive thinker in business

positive thinkers in business by inculcating in ourselves
ten traits that would help our business succeed and pull
through, even through the most difficult times. These traits

  • Calmness
  • Focus

A book that brings light and hope
Oftentimes, when we manage our businesses, we
sometimes fail to slow down, sit down, reflect and
analyze what it is that it lacks so that it will
proceed as we want it to proceed, and to go where
we want it to be directed. This book will help us
see and analyze, that part of the answer lies in
transforming our own thought patterns, which are
often negative and destructive, lacking in its
life-giving character and hopeful attitudes. The
book is a real gem when it comes to helping us see
how we can make a turn around in our venture and
business enterprise. The combination of ten traits
suggested in this book is simple and can be applied
in the way that we can in our venture and business
enterprise. Reading the book will give us that
"eureka", experience - the experience that brings
an image of a light bulb "lighting" up in our head
and imagination. Then, suddenly, we realize what it
was, in the one or two of the traits described by
Scott Ventrella, which we are not really practicing
as we should when making decisions in our business.

Like all business books which has one of its purpose
- to encourage and to inspire, this is another modern
classic which one cannot but have in one's own library,
office or den. Reading it not only once but many times
along the life of one's business venture and as a business
person or entrepreneur making the best of what the
Lord God has given him to steward, will be very helpful
in improving all the aspects of the business: it both its
tangible and intangible assets, especially intellectual
capital.
