Content Delivery Service of Catholic
Internet Mission
How to obtain the site's content
New content starts to be produced on Sunday and continues up to
Thursday of every week. The content are then immediately uploaded
to be indexed by the search engines. It is thus available at once
for those who use the search engines to obtain information.
How to get the content fast
The old rss feed contains all the content
items that start to get produced since Sunday. It is already
delivered to subscribers of this site's rss feed before the main
page of the web site is updated. If you wish to get these content
items fast, just subscribe to the site's old rss feed
RSS feed.
Weekly updates
For those who do not necessarily need to be updated fast, then
the weekly updated blog feed of the web site can deliver the
recently produced content to your feed reader. This blog feed
RSS feed is updated every Thursday of the week.
"I'm new to rss, how does it work?"
RSS or rich site summary, is a technology that helps web site
visitors subscribe to the content produced in the site without
being required to revisit the web site. All they need to do
is to get the URL of the site's feed and enter it to their
feed reader. A feed reader on the other hand is one that
collects all the site feeds you want to subscribe to and
publishes them for you once they are delivered by the web site's
feed managers.
"Where can I find a feed reader?"
Google and Yahoo! have feed readers which you can use to
subscribe to various content. Google has
www.google.com/reader while
Yahoo! has my.yahoo.com. There are
many other feed readers which also provide the same service. Bloglines
and Newgator also provide very good feed reading services.
[note: to avail of one of
the four feed reading services mentioned above, you must sign in
and register]
