Engaging the gospel in the family setting

We know how much the institution of the family needs the support of the
Catholic Church so that it may not be swayed by the alternative lifestyles
being proferred by the world and that are currently trying to gvie an
alternative option to the traditional setting of the family as we have always
known it to be. More on this in The Family Setting.

Engaging the gospel in the economic setting

The Catholic internet mission has a webpage dedicated to an excerpt of a
Vatican document that deals with the Church's teaching as regards the stand
of a Catholic stand with regard to his involvement in the socio-economic
sphere. This document is Gaudium et Spes and it can be found in the webpage
Vatican Document on Economics. An exposition and further explanation of

This is perhaps one of the most important spheres and areas where the Catholic
internet mission must be involved in. Engagement in the world wide web setting
is important because through this engagement, the Catholic webauthor will know
what is not only happening in the Internet scene and be kept updated, but he
will know all the techniques of the trade in creating a website that would
really accentuate the Gospel message and make it have a greater impact in the

Some notes

The Catholic internet mission engagement is an electronic engagement. It is
thus important that when one needs information as regards the catechism or
the RCIA process or anything related to one's Catholic life. This first
engagement with the Catholic faith in the Internet is very helpful for
those who are in a cultural environment that is very unsupportive of the
Catholic faith - especially when the Catholics in his or her neighborhood
are a very small minority. However, these Catholics must not depend on
their computer for their Catholic life. The prime locus still of their
life as Catholics must be their parish where the Eucharist becomes the
source and summit of their Christian life. The Catholic internet mission
engagement into the family, business, professional or novice webmasters, and
interreligious and interfaith contexts, is primarily to insert the centrality
of Christ in the life of these institutions who frequent the Internet and
to make the Catholic faith as the context for making Christ and His gospel
known.
